BLACKPINK’s Jisoo to lead Netflix K-Drama 'Boyfriend on Demand'

Netflix has greenlit the romantic comedy series Boyfriend on Demand, starring Blackpink's Jisoo and Seo In-guk. The show follows Seo Mi-rae, played by Jisoo, an overworked webtoon producer who finds romance through a virtual reality dating program.
The 'Monthly Boyfriend' device allows her to interact with perfect virtual suitors, leading to unexpected changes in her love life. Seo In-guk stars as Park Kyeong-nam, a rival producer with a complex, hidden side that creates tension in their workplace dynamic.
Directed by Kim Jung-sik, known for 'Work Later, Drink Now' and 'No Gain No Love,' the drama blends high-tech elements with emotional storytelling. This marks Jisoo's latest project after 'Snowdrop' and her new series 'Newtopia,' debuting on Prime Video. Additionally, she recently signed a global music deal with Warner Records ahead of her solo debut album, 'Amortage'.
