American comedian of Bangladeshi descent Usama Siddiquee has achieved a significant milestone by securing second place in the grand finale of Kevin Hart's Funny AF competition on Netflix.
While the top prize and guaranteed special went to winner Ron Taylor, Siddiquee emerged as a standout performer, earning high praise for his distinct comedic voice and cultural insights.
'Funny AF with Kevin Hart' is a high-profile comedy contest hosted by Kevin Hart. The series, which also features guest judges Chelsea Handler, Keegan-Michael Key and Kumail Nanjiani, aims to discover a fresh comedic voice capable of becoming a household name.
Siddiquee was competing against five other finalists – Olivia Carter, Winston Hodges, Caitlin Peluffo, Ron Taylor and Reg Thomas. He is known for his sharp observational humour and energetic delivery and has steadily built a reputation within the American comedy circuit.
The 35-year-old, originally from Plano, Texas, traces his passion for comedy back to his school days, when a humorous video he posted online gained unexpected attention. That early response, he has said, inspired him to pursue comedy more seriously.
In recent years, Siddiquee has achieved other notable milestones, including a late-night debut on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' in 2024.
