'An Apple Tree Inside the Head' photo exhibition opens at AFD
A photographic exhibition inspired by the unreleased Bangladeshi film An Apple Tree Inside the Head is now on display at Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD).
Directed by filmmaker Fazly Rabbi Mridha, the exhibition presents behind-the-scenes photographs captured during the production of the film, bringing together images of its characters, surroundings and intimate moments.
Jointly organised by Goopy Bagha Productions Limited and Views & Vision Production, the exhibition opened on Tuesday (15 September) at La Galerie and will remain open until 19 September.

The opening ceremony was attended by anthropologist and public intellectual Dr Manosh Chowdhury, actor Jayita Mahalanobish and filmmaker Josim Ahmed, who is also one of the film's producers.
Producer Arifur Rahman said the exhibition offers the film an alternative route to audiences, using photography to extend its artistic life beyond conventional cinema distribution.
The film, written and directed by Mridha, explores faith, fear, family and uncertainty through a story centred on a mysterious apple believed to possess healing powers.
The exhibition is open daily from 3pm to 9pm at La Galerie, AFD, 26 Mirpur Road, Dhanmondi.
