Allen Swapan comic book —a first for Bangladesh

For the first time in Bangladesh, a character from a popular web series has made its way into the world of comics. Chronicles of Allen Swapan, based on Chorki's hit series Myself Allen Swapan, was launched at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair on 20 February. The comic is available at the Dhaka Comics stall (949-950).
The launch event at the Dhaka Comics stall was attended by Allen Swapan actor Nasir Uddin Khan, Chorki CEO Redoan Rony, Dhaka Comics editor Mehedi Haque, and Chorki's business lead Faisal Rahman.
Although inspired by the series, Chronicles of Allen Swapan introduces five original stories. Writers Zahidul Haque Apu and Sheikh Korashanee collaborated on Peyaju, while Sheikh Korashanee penned Dome, Manasank, and Fandh. The artwork was created by five artists, including Mehedi Haque and Kazi Maruf.
"This is an exciting moment for us," said Redoan Rony. "We're thrilled to introduce a screen character to readers."
"This marks a new era," added Mehedi Haque. "To our knowledge, this is Bangladesh's first OTT-to-comic adaptation."
