Bangladeshi actress Sadika Parvin Popy faces land-grabbing allegations as her sister Firoza Parvin filed a General Diary (GD) at Khulna's Sonadanga Model Police Station.

The GD was filed yesterday (3 February), confirmed Sonadanga Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam to The Business Standard.

According to the GD, Popy, along with her husband Adnan Uddin Kamal, Kallol Majumdar, and Shipon, arrived at Khulna's Shibbari area around 12:30pm yesterday to take possession of the family land.

When confronted, Popy and her husband allegedly threatened Firoza Parvin and other family members, as per the GD.

Her sister Firoza Parvin said, "We are four sisters and two brothers—Popy is the eldest. Since our father's death, she has been trying to seize the family land. While we all live together, Popy has taken a stand against us…She is now in Khulna and has even threatened to kill us."

Popy's mother, Moriyam Begum, said, "My daughter used to be good, but ever since she got married, she has been threatening us under her husband's influence. She is trying to take over her father's land. This all started after her father passed away."

Popy has remained out of the public eye for several years. Rumours about her marriage and the birth of a child have surfaced, but she has not made any public statements in this regard.
