8544 policemen test Covid-19 positive

A total of 8,544 police personnel have tested positive for Covid-19 as of Saturday, said sources at the Police Headquarters.
Among them, 2,064 are members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
In the last 24 hours, 48 policemen have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, said a source on Saturday afternoon.

The number of policemen infected with the virus was 8,496 one day ago.
Some 5,303 police personnel have recovered from the viral disease to date.
Currently, 8,237 members of police are staying in home quarantine and 3,175 are in isolation.
