120 stranded Indians return home through Akhaura checkpost
In the first phase, on May 28, a total of 106 Indian nationals returned to India
Some 120 Indians stranded in different parts of Bangladesh returned to India today through the Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost in Brahmanbaria.
Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Morshedul Haque confirmed the matter.
"Many Indian nationals were stuck during the lockdown in Bangladesh. They later got registered with the Indian High Commission to return home," the ASI said.

"In the second phase of the registration, 120 Indian nationals have returned home," he added.
In the first phase, on May 28, a total of 106 Indian nationals returned to India through the Akhaura International Immigration Checkpost.
Riva Ganguly Das, Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka, came to the checkpost and bade farewell to the passengers so that they would not face any inconvenience at the checkposts of the two countries.
