FBCCI president calls for further help for flood victims

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Mahbubul Alam today (25 August) urged the business community and industrial conglomerates to lend more support to the people affected in the ongoing devastating flood sweeping over some districts of the country.

The chief of the country's apex trade body also called upon the wholesale and retail traders of the country to make minimum profit in the sales of puffed rice, flattened rice, jaggery, sugar, dry foods, medicines, salines, child foods, purified water and in other essential items under such circumstances, said a press release.

Some districts of the county including Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Feni are experiencing devastating floods due to excessive rain and onrush of water coming from upstream.
