Chairman of BTRC, Jahurul Haque, said, "The entire world is having a very difficult time, and technology is one of the key components for which we are still operational in so many levels. We have been hit by Covid-19 when we are on the verge of introducing epoch-making technologies with such an immense opportunity for the future. We can realise the importance of 5G, and the government is analysing and setting things. When we have 5G, we will find new growth opportunities. I thank the organisers of this event for carrying out this initiative in such a difficult time."

Brig. Gen. Shahidul Alam, PBGMS shared, "We are planning to roll-out 5G next year. Spectrum will be allocated among the telecommunication operators accordingly. Moreover, an increase has been seen in the daily usage of the telecommunication network around Bangladesh during Covid-19. Hence, it is commendable that Huawei has been providing strong support to the operators by providing them with powerful network equipment."

Jay Chen, vice president of Asia Pacific region of Huawei, said, "Technology can bring the best results when is time-based. And the excellency of technology is it is for mankind. Huawei has been investing its significant portion of revenue and people in research and development how we can bring more values to the ICT ecosystem."

"In the meantime, the information and communication technology (ICT) community has also played a critical role in helping governments, businesses and people everywhere cope with this unprecedented crisis and ultimately defeat this disease. I believe that with the joint efforts of all of us, we will get through this difficult period as soon as possible," he added.
