Do not fall for the misconception that a big yard is necessary for a garden.

If you want to add greenery to your life, a vertical garden on your balcony might be the starting point.

If you can ensure the place gets enough sunlight and air, the vertical garden is good to go!

Vertical gardens have been gaining popularity in the past few years as balconies in apartments are getting smaller. These gardens can turn around dull walls and bring them to life.

In addition to being perfect for small spaces, vertical balcony gardens look neat as well.

It is a perfect choice for those who live in an apartment and want to have a garden.

Moreover, the wooden panel with colorful mini shelves to hold potted plants gives the cramped space a breath of fresh air.

A variety of materials can be used to make the plant shelves for the gardens.

Steel, bamboo or wooden shelves are a great choice as these materials add a rustic vibe to the space.

If you want to make the shelves look a bit more extravagant, add individual frames to the shelves.

Adding a piece of canvas in the middle will make it easier to hold the pots.

Going up a notch higher, swapping shelves with pallets and wooden boxes will create a new composition that is both sophisticated and incredible to look at.

You can grow different types of herbs, salad greens or ornamental plants in a limited space using the pallets.

Small vertical gardens are easy to prepare and nurture while giving your home a unique look.

If you have some extra space on the balcony floors, small potted plants and trinkets can be arranged on the side to add dimension to the garden.
