Christian Bale to play villain in ‘Thor 4’

Tessa Thompson, Valkyrie of Thor franchise has confirmed to the media that Christian Bale will be playing the role of villain in 'Thor: Love and Thunder. '

According to Collider, the actress has confirmed that she has read the script and Taika Waititi is returning to write and direct the superhero follow-up, which also brings Natalie Portman's Jane Foster back into the fold as the female Thor.

It is still unclear as to which villain Bale will be playing as the Marvel studio is pretty much tight lipped about the issue.

Bale loves to play characters who live in the gray area, so it should be quite fun to see what he does with a straight-up villain—written and directed by Taika Waititi no less.

'Thor' which was released on 2011 became an instant hit among the movie goers.  This gave rise to two sequels 'Thor: The Dark World' and 'Thor: Ragnarok'.

The filming of 'Thor: Love and Thunder' will begin later this year and is set to star Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder himself and co-star Natalie Portman as Jane Foster (and later Mighty Thor).

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
