One of the five Bangladeshi workers, who were diagnosed with novel coronavirus in Singapore, has been released from Singapore hospital.
 
Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Director Professor Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora confirmed the matter during a press briefing in the capital today.
 
Besides, a total of 23 Bangladeshi nationals were evacuated from China's Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.
 
They were flown to Delhi on Thursday by a special flight with other Indian nationals. The Bangladeshi nationals will be quarantined in special facilities in suburbs of Delhi.
 
Dr Meerjady Sabrina also said a modern machine has been imported here from South Korea to diagnose the coronavirus.
 
She also said coronavirus has many strains, but only COVID-19 is deadly.
 
Five Bangladeshi workers of Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site were found infected with the novel coronavirus in Singapore on the second week of this month. They had no recent travel history to China.
 
They are being treated at National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) in Singapore.
 
Globally, at least 80,000 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus and the death toll reached to 2,700 till Wednesday.
