Royal Enfield’s new Classic 350 BS6

Premier Indian motorcycle manufacturing brand Royal Enfield has launched their all new BS 6-compliant Classic (Classic 350 BS6) motorcycle in India at Rs1.65 lakh (Tk1.96 lakh), being the first model from the company to meet with the new emission norms that will take effect across India from April 1, 2020.

The Classic 350 is the maiden bike under the UCE (Unit Construction Engine) platform to switch to the BS6 emission norms. The remaining Royal Enfield motorcycles will be BS6-compliant by March 31, 2020. Royal Enfield's BS6 range will be accompanied with a three years of warranty along with as many years of roadside assistance.

The new bike is available in Stealth Black, Chrome Black alongside Signals Airborne Blue, Signals Stormrider Sand, Gunmetal Grey and Classic Black with Stealth Black and Gunmetal Grey riders getting alloy wheels and tubeless tyres along with the ride.

Powered by the 346cc single-cylinder and air-cooled engine, it can produce a max power of 19.8bhp at 5250rpm and max torque of 28Nm at 4000rpm, with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The overall engine and performance remain true to its predecessor.

Riders will also get a decent 13.5-liter fuel tank with an expected mileage of 35-40kmpl. Furthermore, you can easily reach a top speed of 110kmph, with vibrations of course. As explained earlier, Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes with a dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) update.

For enthusiast riders looking for something new, there are not any major changes in this specific variant. However, it is equipped with a new EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control System) system which prevents leakage of petrol vapour. Moreover, it also comes with the new TCI (Transistor Controlled Igniter) ignition which drastically increases the fuel economy.
