United Hospital commemorates International Nurses Day

On this occasion Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of United Hospital, Mohammad Faizur Rahman congratulated and thanked all the nurses for being an indispensable component of our health system. Nurses play a critical role in healthcare delivery and the promotion of patient-centred healthcare.

United Hospital commemorate International Nurses Day

United Hospital recently commemorates International Nurses Day keeping in line with the global occasion to encourage the nursing profession to maintain the spirit of serving humanity in a befitting manner, states a press release.

On this occasion Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of United Hospital, Mohammad Faizur Rahman congratulated and thanked all the nurses for being an indispensable component of our health system. Nurses play a critical role in healthcare delivery and the promotion of patient-centred healthcare. During the course of this COVID-19 pandemic, nurses' contribution has been and still is beyond words, as they tirelessly work to ensure health for all and continue health services without disruption, leaving no one behind.

Dr. Shagufa Anwar, Director, Communication & Business Development of United Hospital, spoke on the occasion, expressing her conviction to the slogan of "Nurses: A Voice to Lead – a Vision for Future Healthcare".  She highlighted the sincere efforts of all the nurses.

Chief Nursing Officer Ms. Bidisha Basu graced the occasion and congratulated the nurses on this joyous occasion and also gave an encouraging speech where she motivated the nurses to do better work with more dedication in the future. On the occasion, the Medical Service Director of United Hospital Limited, Dr Mahbub Uddin Ahmed, respected Senior Consultants, and Senior Nurses spoke along with other senior officials of the hospital. On this occasion directors of the hospital and consultants, doctors, and nurses of the different departments were also present.

It needs to be mentioned here, to commemorate the birthday of Florence Nightingale, International Nurses Day is observed throughout the world on May 12. The theme of this year is "Nurses: A Voice to Lead – a Vision for Future Healthcare".
