Teen gang godfather, 4 others held in Chattogram
Police also seized arms making equipment, 110 yaba tablets and marijuana during the raid
The police on Saturday arrested five people including the godfather of a teen gang after raiding a house near Ranir Dighir Par in Chattogram.
The arrestees are Shaikh Farid Ahmed, 43, Mohammed Yakub, 38, Sirazul Islam, 43, Shimul Biswas, 50, and Md Alauddin, 46.
Confirming the matter, Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mahshin said, "Farid led a gang of at least 30 teenage boys and used them for various crimes such as mugging and extortion.

"The five were arrested while they were taking drugs on the third floor of a building near Ranir Dighir Par area."
Police also seized arms making equipment, 110 yaba tablets and marijuana from the building.
Among the arrestees, Yakub and Shimul is accused in one case, while Alauddin is named in 14.
