Before the ongoing lockdown, actor Adun Noor Shajal finished shooting for a drama alongside veteran actor Abul Hayat, who was concerned about the safety of the cast and crew members on set. Unfortunately, Hayat tested positive for Covid-19 and was hospitalised right after the shoot.

During a recent conversation with this correspondent, Shajal talked about that unfortunate incident and expressed concerns over the safety measures taken by most people against the ongoing pandemic.

"Most people aren't responsible enough and they're going outside without masks, we are losing loved and dear ones everyday, yet we are not worried," Shajal told The Business Standard.

The actor lives with his parents, hence he maintains extra safety for them to avoid Covid. Shajal usually avoids going outside, he rather spends time by reading books or watching movies in his leisure time. He also keeps himself busy doing household chores.

Recently, Shajal was seen as a villain in a web film titled "Batch 2003" which was released on  OTP platform Binge. The actor who is to mark 20 years in acting has been receiving compliments for his performance in the film.

Directed by Partha Sarkar, the web film also features Tasnuva Tisha, Nowshaba, Shipon Mitra, among others.

Talking about the film the actor said, "This is a new experience for me. It is my first work for OTP and also as a villain. I was under pressure, but I tried to deliver my best performance and follow the instructions of the director."

The story of the web film revolves around six high school friends who go to their old school campus to celebrate their reunion party.

The party starts with a BBQ party followed by horror stories. The tension begins when the friends start to go missing one by one. Later they realise it's no one but someone amongst their friends who is killing everyone.

We asked whether Shajal is tired of acting in the last 20 years, he replied,  "Not at all, this is my passion and profession, I will continue acting as long as I am alive."

When asked why Shajal is not seen that much on screen these days, he replied, "I have been selective about the scripts, I don't work on anything if I don't like the character. It has been a while I have been prioritising my wish."

Currently, the actor is busy with Eid dramas and tele-films. He also has worked in a few films which will be released soon.

Shajal plans to get married when the lockdown is over. He said, "My parents will find a bride for me."
