Pathao urges BRTA to withdraw ban on ride sharing services

Pathao has urged the authorities concerned including the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) to withdraw the ban on operating motorcycles under the ridesharing services.

Highlighting the sufferings of commuters as well as the motorcyclists who earn their livelihood through these apps, Pathao President Fahim Ahmed urged the authorities to withdraw the ban on human ground.

He said the motorcyclists were given proper training on maintaining the health guidelines. They regularly wear masks, use sanitisers and follow the health protocols to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Pathao thinks the restrictive decision should be reviewed considering the sufferings of the commuters and riders.

He also opined that the ridesharing services can be kept operational while following the 18-point directive issued by the government regarding the public transport and operation of offices.
