In the second round of Bangabandhu 22nd National Cricket League (NCL), Rangpur Division won comfortably by 7 wickets against Khulna Division in the first Tier's match.
Rangpur needed 101 runs to win the match on the fourth day and they had all their wickets in hand. They lost 3 wickets but chased down the target comfortably in the end. 
Rangpur began the day with 16 runs without losing any wicket. They lost opening batsman Nabin Islam early in the day even before adding any runs to the board. Another opening batsman, Zahid Javed, was dismissed for 37 runs. Abdul Halim picked up both the wickets.
Tanvir Haider was later dismissed by Rabiul Islam Robi. 
Suhrawadi Shuvo and Nasir Hossain finished off the game as Nasir remained unbeaten on 48 runs and Shuvo on 16 runs.
Fast-bowler Mukidul Islam Mugdho was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant 12-wicket haul in the match.
With this win, they are now in second place on the first Tier's point table.
Elsewhere, both the matches between Sylhet-Dhaka and Chattogram-Dhaka Metro ended in a draw.
Sylhet ended the third day on 183 for 6. They added 36 runs before being bowled out. Dhaka needed a near impossible 320 runs to win the match. They eventually finished the day on 147 for 5. 
Dhaka's Saif Hassan bagged a fifty before getting out for 64. 
Veteran left-arm spinner Enamul Haque Jr. picked up 3 wickets for 31 runs. 
Dhaka's Shuvagata Hom was named the man of the match for his all-round performance in the match. 
Pinak Ghosh starred in Chattogram-Dhaka Metro's match with a brilliant 159 in the first innings. Hasan Murad picked up a five-for to sink Dhaka Metro but they came back strong and managed to draw the match at the end of the fourth day's play.
Earlier, Rajshahi beat Barishal before lunch of the second day's play as Sunjamul Islam bagged 10 wickets in the match for 33 runs. This is the most economical haul of ten or more wickets in Bangladesh's first-class history.
