NCL T20 tournament postponed indefinitely due to adverse weather
From the very start, the tournament was severely disrupted by rain. On the opening day, only 5 overs could be played in the match held in Rajshahi due to rain, with Rajshahi losing to Dhaka Metro in that shortened encounter. The match scheduled in Bogura on the same day was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the indefinite postponement of the National Cricket League (NCL) T20 tournament. In a press release issued today, the board cited adverse weather conditions as the reason behind the decision.
The 2025–26 edition of the NCL T20 began the day before yesterday, but from the very start, the tournament was severely disrupted by rain. On the opening day, only 5 overs could be played in the match held in Rajshahi due to rain, with Rajshahi losing to Dhaka Metro in that shortened encounter. The match scheduled in Bogura on the same day was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
With weather forecasts predicting more rain over the following two days, the matches scheduled in Bogura were shifted to Rajshahi. However, that move did not help. Both matches in Rajshahi were abandoned yesterday as well. Subsequently, Tuesday's two matches were rescheduled for Wednesday. But with no improvement in the weather, concerns remained over whether those matches could go ahead, leading to the decision to suspend the tournament entirely for the time being.
In the press release, the BCB stated:
"Due to adverse weather conditions across the country, the ongoing NCL T20 2025–26 tournament has been postponed until further notice by the Technical and Tournament Committee. Any new developments will be communicated in due course."
