Japanese Embassy aired 'Japan Fest 2021' featuring Japanese tradition and contemporary songs in both Japanese and Bangla on Wednesday.  

Popular musician Tahsan Khan has lent his voice in the music video titled "Bondhutter Potaka", reads a press release.  

The song is written and composed by Tahsan, informed people of Bangladesh about Japan's health protocols and how the country vigorously tackled the Covid-19 outbreak.

About making this song, Tahsan Khan stressed "I made this song to celebrate the strong, friendly bilateral relations between Japan and Bangladesh and also to address the current pandemic situation. I hope we will be inspired by this song to cherish our friendship between two countries."

Moreover, the music video of this song highlighted various degrees of Japanese assistance to Bangladesh tackle the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tahsan also shared his cherished experience during his visit to Japan last year in Japan Fest 2021. All the while the program also showcased the traditional and artistic ways of Sado Tea ceremony. 

A Japanese musician Miyazawa Kazufumi also gave his voice along with Tahsan Khan in a song titled "ShimaUta". Tahsan Khan sang the lyrics of the famous Japanese song in Bangla.

The program also featured Ambassador ITO Naoki singing Rabindranath Tagore's "Anondoloke Mongolaloke" alongside Tahsan. 

Ambassador ITO said, "Next year we are going to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. Despite the raging pandemic, both our countries remained resolved in enhancing cultural exchanges and people to people ties. With that in mind, it is an honor to have Mr Tahsan Khan with us today and host the Japan Fest 2021."
