Renowned singer and actor Tahsan Khan's fans have great news as the star performer is going to publish his first book at the Ekushey Boi Mela.

The book titled, "Onubhutir Obhidhan" will be hitting the Ekushey Boi Mela on 25 March. Published by Addhayan Prokashoni, the book features anecdotes from Tahsan's life.

"The book will be released on 25 March, readers can pre-order the book. We finished editing and proofreading the book a few days ago," Tahsan told The Business Standard.

The book is available for pre-orders online from Addhayan Prokashoni and rokomari.com. Arafat Karim designed the cover of "Onubhutir Obhidhan".

Tahsan further added, "The mame of the book kind of represents what it's about. The book contains 20 stories and 20 poems, written from my emotions. The poems are reflections of my emotions and thoughts. Readers will get to know me through the poems."

He has explained the reasons for publishing the book on the book's preface and many details can be found there. The famed singer has shared the preface on his social media handles, including Facebook.

"We learn many things while growing up, this is life! However, in our society we don't learn how to express our emotions. Very often, we don't know how to deal with emotions and move ahead in life. Consequently, we face many difficulties in life, especially in adolescence or later in life we suffer from depression or frustrations. I have tried to tell those stories in my book."

Tahsan has a habit of reading books. But he didn't have a habit of writing before. He says he enjoyed writing the book and has plans to continue writing.

"I felt content while writing the book. I want to write every year to express my emotions."

"I utilised the home isolation during the Covid-19 shutdown to write the book. Later, I would write after coming back home at night. Now it has become a habit," said Tahsan.

The celebrity singer will surprise the fans and show up at the book fair all of a sudden without any prior notice.

"I will pay a surprise visit at the fair, it will definitely be overwhelming to see my own book at the stall in the fair."

Besides writing, he is busy with dramas, new songs and TVCs to be released in the upcoming Eid. Before the pandemic, Tahsan finished shooting for Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's "No Land's Man." The singer-actor has also finished the dubbing and is now waiting for the film to be released.

Recently, Tahsan was announced as a goodwill ambassador of the UN refugee agency UNHCR. Tahsan will be fulfilling this duty for the next two years.
