PHP Automobiles supplies 50 cars to Popular Life Insurance

PHP Automobiles on Wednesday delivered 50 new cars of the Proton brand to Popular Life Insurance Company Limited. These cars are from the 2021 model "Proton Saga (MC)".

PHP is giving five years' warranty for the cars which have a 360-degree sensor, back camera, comfort cabin, 420 luggage space, and DRL LED.

Mohammed Akther Parvez, managing director of PHP Automobiles, handed over the keys of the cars to BM Yousuf Ali, managing director of Popular Life Insurance, at a programme held at PHP Business Centre.

BM Yousuf Ali said, "We have chosen these cars as they are local products which we proudly promote. We hope to buy more new Proton cars at low prices instead of reconditioned cars."

Mohammed Akther Parvez said, "People are happy getting locally manufactured brand-new cars. We are supplying according to public demand."

Mohammad Zahirul Islam Rinku, director of PHP; Mohammad Showkat Ali, additional managing director of Popular Life Insurance; and Taseer Karim, executive director of PHP Automobiles, among others, were present on the occasion.

Earlier, on 6 February, PHP Automobiles – a Chattogram-based assembler that has been assembling Malaysia's Proton cars in Bangladesh since 2015 – delivered 32 new Proton cars to Sonali Life Insurance.

The company currently assembles five types of cars – Proton Preve, Proton Saga, Proton X70, Proton Persona, and 8-seater microbus PHP Shineray X30. The company started making 25 types of parts in its factory instead of importing them from abroad.
