Police in Myanmar raided the headquarters of Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy (NLD) party in Yangon late on Tuesday, two elected lawmakers from the party said.

The raid was carried out by about a dozen police personnel, who forced their way into the building in the commercial capital after dark, the lawmakers said.

Suu Kyi has been in detention since last week's military takeover that ousted the NLD government and prevented a new NLD-dominated parliament from forming.
