Woman's body recovered from freezer in Dhaka's Kalabagan
The victim appears to have been beaten and strangled to death, police said.

Police have recovered the body of a woman from a deep freezer at a house in the First Lane area of Kalabagan in the capital.
The body was recovered on Monday night (13 October) after the victim's children filed a complaint with the police, said Rafiqul Islam, inspector (investigation) of Kalabagan Police Station.
According to police, the deceased lived in a building beside London College with her husband Nazrul Islam and their children.
Inspector Rafiqul said the woman had three daughters — aged 19, 11, and 5. "The youngest daughter was staying at her brother's house. We suspect the murder took place between 11pm Sunday and 7am Monday. The victim appears to have been beaten and strangled to death," he said.
Citing the victim's eldest daughter, Rafiqul added, "Early in the morning, Nazrul Islam woke up the girls and took them out of the house. When they asked about their mother, he told them she had left with someone else. He then took the girls to their maternal grandfather's house in Adabor."
"When the daughters grew suspicious, they informed their relatives. After being notified, police went to the house, broke the lock, and entered the flat, where they found the woman's body inside the deep freezer," the inspector said.
The body is currently being examined and a preliminary report is being prepared, he added.
