The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested three Nigerians from Haripushkurani in Phulgazi upazila on Thursday night when they were trying to go to India illegally.

The arrestees were identified as Sunday Ebondi Edwin, 28, Kingslay Chinedu Enwaokori and Lotanna Samuel Anaikiw, 34.

Tipped-off, a team of BGB-4 conducted a drive and arrested them from near pillar no 2181/5s, said Commanding Officer of BGB-4 Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Nahiduzzaman.

BGB members also found INR 13,000, $100, a laptop and a mobile phone on them.

Later, they were handed over to police.
