Action will be taken after investigation: Police

The departments concerned will take necessary action after investigating the Bhola incident which left 4 people killed and hundreds more injured yesterday, said Additional Inspector General of police in Barishal range Md Shafiqul Islam on Monday.

He made the comment in response to a query over the six-point demands placed by 'Sarbodolio Muslim Oikko Parishad' in Bhola's Borhanuddin upazila.

"We will investigate the information we received and take legal action accordingly," said Shafiqul Islam at a press conference at Bhola Circuit House today.

He said, "Bangladesh is ruled by laws and no one is above the law. Action will be taken against the people responsible according to the rules."

In response to a query over the fake Facebook post, he said it is a highly technical matter and has been sent to authorities concerned in Dhaka. They are also communicating with the people who manage Facebook. Further action will be taken after they get a response from there.
