6 killed in Jhenidah road crash

Six construction workers have been killed and four others injured as a truck and a three wheeler – locally known as Nosimon- collided head-on at Shailkupa of Jhenaidah on Wednesday evening.
The incident took place at Modondanga on the Kushtia-Jhenaida Highway when the workers were heading towards Jheanaidah from Kushita on the three wheeler, reports Somoy TV.
A speeding truck coming from the opposite direction rammed into the three wheeler before plunging into a roadside ditch, leaving the six dead on the spot.

On information, police and firefighters rushed to the spot, rescued the injured and sent them to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.
