Awami League organises training workshop on career development

For the first-time in South Asia, a political party has come forward to assist the young generation in career development.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader claimed this on Saturday while addressing the inaugural ceremony of an online training workshop on career development, organised by the party's Education and Human Resources Sub-Committee in collaboration with the Center for Research and Information (CRI).

Students and unemployed youths can join the online training programme by registering their names, by 30 January, on the website career.albd.org.

Quader said, "A digital movement is going on in the country, therefore the youth must use technology to build careers in this competitive world."

"Awami League wants to stand beside the country's youths with an aim to facilitate their career development," he continued, adding, "That is why, Awami League has come up with career workshops to develop efficiency and action-plans for the youth."

"Lakhs of youths will take part in the course to build their careers properly. Youths have to be involved in cultural activities and politics to keep them safe from evil deeds," he said.

"While other political parties nurture bad practices like hall-occupying and chaos in student politics, Awami League concentrates on improving conditions in order to ensure a healthy political environment for students," he continued.

"Some parties have handed over arms to the young generation but Awami League has worked to build youths' careers," he added.
