Mercantile Bank inaugurates new branch at Nikunja

Mercantile Bank Limited launched its 150th branch in the country at Nikunja in Dhaka on Thursday.

Morshed Alam MP, chairman of the bank inaugurated the branch virtually as the chief guest of the launching event, reads a press release.

M Amanullah,  vice chairman of the bank opened the branch by cutting inaugural ribbon along with the invited guests at branch premises, it added.

Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, managing director and CEO of the bank delivered his welcome speech on the opening ceremony.

Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, editor, The Daily Observer and chairman, DBC, Kazi Sanaul Haq, managing director, Dhaka Stock Exchange and Amin Ahmed, chairman, Best Holdings Group also spoke on the occasion.

Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun), vice chairman,  AKM Shaheed Reza, chairman, Mercantile Bank Foundation, MA Khan Belal, chairman, Mercantile Bank Securities Ltd, ASM Feroz Alam and Al-Haj Mosharref Hossain, directors of the bank joined the ceremony virtually.

Moreover, Faruque Ahmed, AVP and head of Nikunja Branch gave his vote of thanks. Shamim Ahmed. deputy managing director of the bank was present on the occasion as well.
