100 cyclists to cross 300 km mountain road in CHT

One hundred youths from three districts of Chattogram Hill Tracts – Khagrachhari, Rangamati, Bandarban – will cross 300 km mountain road by bicycle to celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

They will participate in this challenge for the event titled "Bangabandhu Tour de CHT MTB (Mountain Bike) Challenge 2020" organised by the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts, according to a press conference organised at the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board in Rangamati on Wednesday. 

Forty-five cyclists from three hill districts and 55 cyclists from other districts of the country will take part in the competition.

The competition will be inaugurated by Hasan Mahmud MP, on 26 December at 8 am from Sajek in Rangamati. It will end on 30 December at Thanchi High School in Bandarban.

Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts is the main organiser of this competition. The whole programme will be assisted by the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board, district councils, district administrations, army regions, police administrations, BGB sectors, fire service and civil surgeon's offices of the three CHT districts.
