Special prayer offered at national mosque on Bangabandhu’s birth centenary

Special prayers and munajat were offered at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Friday after Jumu'ah on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence.

The prayers and munajat were held at the initiative of the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh.

On this occasion, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyred members of Bangabandhu and his family and all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the liberation war.

Imam Mufti Maulana Ehsanul Haque led the prayers and munajat at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

State Minister for Religion Md Faridul Haque Khan MP, Religious Affairs Secretary Md Nurul Islam took part in the prayer alongside the director of Islamic Foundation, officials and employees and others.
