Earlier on 25 November, Md. Asadul Islam, senior secretary of Ministry of Finance (Financial Institutions Division), inaugurated the special life insurance payment programme of IDRA to mark the birth centenary of the Father of nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was an honorable member of the country's insurance family. He joined Alfa Insurance Company as Bangladesh head on 1 March 1960. Later, he led the emergence and expansion of the insurance industry in post-independent Bangladesh.

Therefore, to commemorate the contribution of the father of the nation, IDRA has adopted the initiative - Bangabandhu Ashar Alo - Attempt to Pay Insurance - that will continue to take place virtually on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 11.30 am to 1pm.
