Qatar crush Bangladesh despite Zico heroics
Bangladesh could not stand any chance throughout the match and failed to register even a single shot on goal while Qatar attempted 32 shots, 15 of them being on target.

Host Qatar crushed Bangladesh in the Fifa World Cup Qualifier by 5-0 at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha on Friday.
Bangladesh could not stand any chance throughout the match and failed to register even a single shot on goal while Qatar attempted 32 shots, 15 of them being on target. Bangladesh hardly had 24% ball possession while the hosts had three-fourth of it.
The only positive side for Bangladesh was their goalkeeper, Anisur Rahman Zico. He had a fantastic game under the bar, though the scoreline might not show it. Zico, playing only his second international match, saved at least 10 shots, few of them seemed sure goals. He almost a saved a penalty as well, but, almost!
Qatar's forward Akram Afif bagged a hat-trick. The other two goals were scored by Abdulaziz Hatem and Almoez Ali.
There were 1,800 fans in the stadium including Spain and Barcelona legend Xavi Hernández at the stands watching the match live.
Bangladesh are currently at the bottom of Group E after 5 matches with just one draw against India last year. They have so far conceded 13 goals in the qualifier and scored only 2.
