Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has terminated the employment of Mosquito Supervisor of Ward #3 under Zone #2, Md Rafiqul Islam, after he was discovered to be illegally selling fuel for mosquito repellents.

On 13 April this year, the DSCC appointed Md Rafiqul Islam as a skilled worker on a daily-pay basis for mosquito eradication and maintenance of cleanliness.

Meanwhile, the City Corporation dismissed five other employees, as they had all exceeded the maximum age limit set for government jobs.

According to the press statement, these employees will not be entitled to any salaries or other financial benefits as of 29 November, 2020.
