Steps to be taken to reinstate media men sacked during pandemic: Murad

State Minister for Information Murad Hasan today said steps will be taken to reinstate media workers who lost their jobs during the coronavirus (Covid-19) period.

He urged the media owners not to fire media personnel during this difficult time and said this issue will be discussed with the media owners and concerned professional organisations, said a press release.

Murad said this while speaking at the concluding session of a program titled 'Mass media's fight during Corona: Painting and Photography' organized by Broadcast Journalists Center (BJC) at the auditorium of National Museum in the capital this afternoon.

Appreciating the role of journalists during pandemic, Murad said the BJC members worked to serve humanity risking their lives during the difficult days of Covid-19.

The sacrifice and dedication of journalists will be written in gold letters and will remain as an exemplary example for all, Murad added.

Additional Secretary of Health Services Division Enamul Haque, DMD of Gazi Group Golam Mortuza Bappa, Shaker Ahmed, Nur Safa Julhas, Nazrul Kabir, Dr. Ashraful Haque and Dr. Saleh Md. Tusher also addressed the program, with president of the organization Rahul Raha in the chair.
