Arrested Chhatra League leaders admit to killing Abrar: DB

In a primary interrogation, a few of the eleven arrested Chhatra League leaders have confessed to their involvement in the murder of Buet student Abrar Fahad, Hasan Arafat, additional deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (South) told The Business Standard.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Joint Commissioner of Detective Branch Mahbub Alam said, "We took the arrested Chhatra League leaders to remand. They regret their actions. We will know more after the remand."
On Monday, police arrested eleven of the 19 accused in the murder case.
Abrar Fahad, 21, a resident of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and a second-year student at Buet, was beaten to death on Monday night allegedly by some Chhatra League men over his alleged affiliation with Jamat-e-Islami's student wing Chhatra Shibir.
