Badal, also a former senior vice-president of the Bangladesh Football Federation, was admitted to hospital on November 11 with various health complications.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sent their condolences to Badal's family and friends after his death.

Badal was admitted to Asgar Ali Hospital on November 5 with breathing complaints and was shifted to Square Hospital after his condition worsened.
He survived from the deadly coronavirus in August 2020 and earlier in 2017 he survived from a brain haemorrhage following two successful surgeries at the Gleneagles Hospital and Medical Centre in Singapore.
Apart from the national team, Badal was also the captain of Mohammedan Sporting Club from 1981 to 1986.
The former Bangladesh Football Federation vice president Badal Roy was recently defeated by Kazi Salahuddin in the race of BFF presidency post.
