Bangladesh High Commissioner hands over PPE to the Nigerian government marking Mujib Borsho

Bangladesh High Commission in Nigeria has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Nigerian government as a friendly gesture marking Mujib Year.
High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria Md Shameem Ahsan handed over the PPE to the Secretary to Government of the Federation and Chairman of the presidential task force on Covid-19 of Nigeria Boss Mustapha, said a press release issued by the Foreign Ministry on Monday.
Nigerian Health Minister Osagie Emmanuel Ehanire, State Minister of Health Dr Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora, Permanent Secretary of the Nigerian Health Ministry, First Secretary of the Bangladesh High Commission in Nigeria Bidosh Chandra Barman and senior officials of the Nigerian government and the High Commission were also present during the hand over ceremony.

In his brief remarks, Bangladesh High Commissioner mentioned that Bangladesh and Nigeria enjoy friendly and cordial bilateral relations and both are fighting the pandemic which has brought the countries closer.
He expressed his satisfaction for the symbolic gesture which coincided with the year-long programme to celebrate birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (Mujib Year).
On his part, Boss Mustapha sincerely thanked Bangladesh High Commissioner for the friendly gesture of the Government of Bangladesh while informing that Bangladesh and Nigeria are working closely in many areas including in the field of defence.
Following the surge of Covid-19, Bangladesh's gesture will help deepen the existing cordial relations between the two friendly countries, he added.
