Just within a few hours of a news came out saying Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan was diagnosed with Covid-19 last night, now the minister has been found negative for coronavirus in a fresh test at Central Police Hospital at Rajarbagh in the capital on Sunday afternoon.

Sharif Mahmud, senior public relations officer of the ministry, confirmed the information to The Business Standard on Sunday evening.

Besides, Senior Secretary for Public Security Mustafa Kamal Uddin, who tested positive earlier, also turned out to be negative in the fresh test at the same hospital.

Earlier on Saturday night, the duo were found positive for the novel coronavirus at tests conducted at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b).

But the result has now been flipped dramatically in fresh tests.

However, they both didn't develop any symptom of coronavirus.
