Akij Insaf opens diagnostic and consultation centre in Dhanmondi

Akij Insaf Diagnostic and Consultation Centre opened on 27 September at Satmasjid Road in Dhanmondi 27, Dhaka, offering specialist consultations and a range of diagnostic services focused on patient comfort.

Specialist doctors and healthcare professionals from across the country attended the opening ceremony, along with Akij Insaf Managing Director SK Jamil Uddin and Director Dr Rezwana Afrose Shorony, according to the press release.

Guided by its motto, "Care & Happy Experiences at Every Step", the centre aims to make each stage of the healthcare journey easier, more comfortable and more reliable for patients. It said its commitment to expert consultation and patient-centred care reflects its goal of contributing to a healthier community and a happier tomorrow.

The centre offers MRI and CT scans, X-rays, mammography, ultrasonography, exercise tolerance tests (ETT), echocardiograms and comprehensive pathology services. Specialist physicians across a range of departments will also offer consultations.

As part of its opening initiative, the centre is offering discounts of up to 50% throughout the month on most pathology, radiology and imaging tests to help make healthcare more accessible and affordable.

The centre places particular emphasis on patient safety and comfort, providing electric stretchers, electric wheelchairs and height-adjustable electric patient beds. These facilities are intended to help staff transfer older patients, people with limited mobility and those requiring additional support more safely and comfortably.

The equipment will assist with transfers from an ambulance to a stretcher and then to a bed in a doctor's consultation room. The adjustable stretchers and beds will also help position patients at a suitable height for medical examinations.

Online booking is available for various tests. Patients booking an MRI or CT scan, X-ray, mammogram, ultrasound, exercise tolerance test or echocardiogram can watch a preparation video to help them prepare for the procedure.

Patient preparation videos are also shown regularly on monitors on every floor, helping patients and their companions understand what they need to do before a test.

Through modern technology, integrated diagnostic facilities and attention to patient comfort, the centre aims to provide care and a positive experience at every stage of the healthcare journey.
