Tortured Ctg Journalist Sarwar files abduction case
Golam Sarwar, a Chattogram journalist who endured brutal torture after being abducted, has filed a case with Kotwali Police Station in Chattogram against six unidentified people.
He, a staff reporter of weekly Ajker Surjodoy, filed the case on Wednesday afternoon after being released from Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he had been receiving treatment for his injuries. Two of the abductors are aged 27 and 28, he mentioned in the case.
Officer-in Charge of the police station, Mohammad Mohshin confirmed the information to The Business Standard in the evening.

"The case has been recorded. We've visited the spot and looking into the incident. Work is underway to bring the abductors under law," he added.
Earlier, the journalist went to the Chattogram Union for Journalists (CUJ) office and disclosed the torture he went through during the days of captivity.
Sarwar reaffirmed his claim that he was tortured for writing a media report.
Meanwhile, CUJ president Mohammad Ali demanded holding the abductors on trial.
Sarwar went missing after he left his Battery Lane residence in the port city on Thursday last. Family members said they could not trace him since then and his phone was also found switched off.
For days later on Sunday, he was found unconscious next to a canal near Kumira Bazar area at Sitakunda Chattogram.
Local people rescued and rushed him to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital where he is now undergoing treatment.
