Elderly woman dies of injuries after ‘collision’ with state minister’s car in Bogura
Firoza, 70, breathed her last around noon today while undergoing treatment at TMSS Medical College and Rafatullah Community Hospital in Bogura town.
A 70-year-old woman who was injured when a car carrying Public Administration and Food State Minister Abdul Bari crashed while apparently trying to avoid hitting her in Bogura's Shibganj has died.
The woman, identified as Firoza, died while undergoing treatment at the private TMSS Medical College and Rafatullah Community Hospital in Bogura Sadar around noon today (4 September).
Firoza, wife of the late Nizam Uddin, was from Gopinathpur village in Shibganj.

The accident occurred around 9am on the Mokamtala-Joypurhat road in the Gopinathpur area as Bari was travelling from Dhaka to his constituency, Joypurhat-2, on official duty.
According to police and local sources, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting Firoza, causing it to leave the road and crash into a roadside paddy field.
Firoza was injured in the accident and taken to hospital by local people, where she later died.
Shibganj police station Officer-in-Charge Shahinuzzaman said her body was being kept at the hospital.
State Minister Bari also sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Shortly after the accident, the minister and his wife left for Joypurhat in another vehicle. He was later taken from Joypurhat to Dhaka while injured.
Earlier, police said the state minister and his wife, who was travelling with him, were in good health.
