SSC exams 2027 to begin 14 March; written tests end 15 April, practical by 22 April

Highlights:

• Exams will start at 10am; candidates must enter 30 minutes early
• MCQ and written sections will be held without a break
• No mobile phones allowed at examination centres
• Re-scrutiny applications must be submitted within 7 days of results being published

The 2027 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations will begin on 14 March, with the written tests ending on 15 April. 

The schedule, approved by the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers Committee, was issued by the secondary and higher secondary education boards today (24 August).

Examinations will begin at 10am each day.

The Bangla (compulsory) first paper and Easy Bangla first paper examinations will be held on 14 March, followed by the Bangla (compulsory) second paper and Easy Bangla second paper on 16 March. English (compulsory) first and second papers will be held on 18 March and 21 March, respectively.

The ICT examination will be held on 22 March, Mathematics on 25 March, Bangladesh and Global Studies on 28 March, and Physics, History of Bangladesh and World Civilisation, and Finance and Banking on 30 March.

Geography and Environment, Chemistry, Civics and Citizenship, and Business Entrepreneurship will be held on 1 April.

Several subjects, including Home Science and Agricultural Studies, will be held on 4 April, while Music, Arabic, Sanskrit, Pali, Physical Education and Sports, and Fine Arts and Crafts will be held on 6 April.

Accounting will be held on 8 April, Higher Mathematics and Science on 11 April, and Biology and Economics on 13 April.

Examinations in Islamic Studies and Moral Education, Hindu Studies and Moral Education, Buddhist Studies and Moral Education, and Christian Studies and Moral Education will be held on 15 April.

All practical examinations, including Music, must be completed by 22 April. Practical marks must be entered online, while answer scripts, attendance sheets and other documents must be submitted as directed by the Controller of Examinations. Practical examinations will be held at the respective examination centres.

The multiple-choice section will be held first, followed immediately by the creative/descriptive section, with no break between the two.

Marks for continuous assessment in Physical Education, Health Science and Sports, and Career Education will be provided by the respective institutions and submitted online by examination centres along with practical marks.

Applications for result re-scrutiny must be submitted online within seven days of publication of the results. Details of the application process and deadlines will be announced later through notices in daily newspapers and on the education boards' websites.
