Boitoi launches month-long e-book fair with 25% discount
Boitoi launched the fifth Boitoi E-Book Mela 2026 on 1 August, offering a 25% discount on every e-book on the platform throughout the month.
Organised by Boitoi, a concern of Ridmik Labs, the month-long digital book fair began on 1 August and will continue until 31 August, according to a press release.
The fair will feature new book launches, rewards, giveaways, author-focused activities, reader engagement campaigns, contests, and special content celebrating Bangla literature.
Boitoi, which describes itself as Bangladesh's largest Bangla e-book platform, currently offers more than 9,300 e-books and 5,600 Shorts, covering literature, novels, contemporary fiction, essays, Islamic books, politics, biographies, children's books, and government job preparation materials.
The platform said it has brought together almost all leading publishers and renowned authors in Bangladesh, serving a growing community of digital readers.
Unlike PDF books, titles on Boitoi are designed to offer a customisable digital reading experience. Readers can adjust font sizes and styles, choose background themes, highlight passages, bookmark pages, and continue reading across multiple devices through the app.
As part of this year's fair, two grand-prize winners will receive a Walton washing machine and a Walton air fryer, respectively. Additional rewards and giveaways will be announced throughout the month.
The Boitoi team said the initiative seeks not only to promote digital reading but also to create more opportunities for Bangladeshi writers and publishers and make books more accessible to readers.
The platform said digital books are playing an increasingly important role in shaping the future of reading in Bangladesh as smartphones become a primary medium for consuming content.
Through the annual fair, Boitoi aims to encourage more people, particularly younger generations, to develop regular reading habits and help Bangla literature reach a wider audience in the digital era.
