20 structures demolished on 2nd day of drives at Bangshal

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Tuesday carried out its demolition drive for the second day at Nawab Yusuf Market in Nayabazar area of Bangshal in Dhaka.

During the drive, 20 illegal establishments, including a local office of a political party, were demolished, said a press release issued by DSCC.

The drive was conducted by a mobile court headed by DSCC's Executive Magistrate AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed.

Irfan Uddin said that the first phase of the operation was carried out on 20 October to knock down illegal permanent structures in the area.

The executive magistrate added that the third day of the operation will start at 12pm on Wednesday and all the remaining illegal installations will be demolished then.
