UP member held in Dinajpur for sharing PM’s distorted photo on Facebook

Police detained a local union parishad member at Saitara in Dinajpur's Chirirbandar upazila on Sunday after he reportedly shared a post on Facebook containing a distorted photo of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He has been identified as Shahin Babu, 42, a member of Saitara Union Parishad and son of Atiqur Rahman of the area.
Subrata Kumar Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Chirirbandar Police Station, said they picked-up Shahin from the Bangla Bazar area of the union around 11:30pm on the day.

"Shahin shared a distorted photo of the PM on Sunday that had earlier been posted by a person named Tarek Rahman four days ago," he said.
Legal action will be taken against him after primary interrogation in police custody, he added.
