Bangladesh-China Green Textile Expo begins
The inauguration ceremony of the "2nd Bangladesh-China Green Textile Expo – BCGTX 2026", a specialised international exhibition on the green textile industry, was held at International Convention City Bashundhara in Kuril, Dhaka, today (14 May).
The exhibition has been organised by Savor International Limited and co-organised by the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh.
It is supported by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangladesh, with BGMEA, BGBA and JCI serving as knowledge partners, and Shanghai Climate Week serving as an associate partner.
Focused on sustainable and environment-friendly textile technologies and innovations, the exhibition brings together renowned textile and garment companies from Bangladesh and China, along with investors, technologists and business representatives.
Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, MP, inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen attended the event as a special guest.
Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh President Han Kun, Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh Vice-President Lisa Lou, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association Director Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mohd Khorshed Alam, Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association President Md Abdul Hamid Pintu, and Savor International Limited Managing Director Md Faizul Alam were also present.
The exhibition features environment-friendly and recyclable textile technologies, along with B2B meetings, seminars and panel discussions, with active participation from leading entrepreneurs of Bangladesh and China.
The exhibition will remain open to all visitors from 14 to 16 May, every day from 10am to 7pm.
