Travel fair to bring global tourism brands to Dhaka
Dhaka is set to host the 21st Air Astra Dhaka Travel Mart, the country's premier international tourism fair, from Thursday, 9 April, at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon.
The three-day event is organised by The Bangladesh Monitor, a leading travel and tourism publication, with Air Astra as title sponsor.
Afroza Khanam (Rita), Adviser to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, will formally inaugurate the fair as chief guest. State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat will attend as special guest, while M Nasser Rahman, MP, will be present as guest of honour.
Over 50 organisations from Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Türkiye, Vietnam, China, and Bangladesh will showcase products and services across 10 pavilions and more than 80 booths.
Participants include national tourism organisations, airlines, travel agencies, hotels and resorts, tour operators, financial institutions, medical service providers, and other industry stakeholders.
Visitors can access exclusive discounts on domestic and international air tickets, tour packages, accommodation, medical tourism packages, and other travel-related services.
US-Bangla Airlines, Mutual Trust Bank PLC, Sabre (a global distribution system provider), and Buy Tickets (an online travel agency) are supporting partners in various capacities.
The fair will be open to visitors from 9 to 11 April, daily from 10am to 8pm. Entry is Tk50.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to win prizes through raffle draws, including return air tickets to domestic and international destinations, complimentary hotel and resort stays, and meal vouchers at leading hotels.
