United Hospital rebrands as Continental Hospital PLC
The institution formerly known as United Hospital Limited has rebranded as Continental Hospital PLC, marking a significant milestone in its nearly four decades of operations in Bangladesh's healthcare sector.
According to the hospital, it was originally registered in 1985 as Continental Hospital, and subsequently became United Hospital Limited in 2004 after transitioning to a private limited company.
The hospital stated that the new identity reflects its vision of expanding access to international-standard treatment in Bangladesh, reducing the need for patients to seek care abroad. It also highlighted its Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, describing the recognition as a testament to its focus on patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement.
Managing director and chief executive officer Malik Talha Ismail Bari presented the hospital's journey, achievements, and future plans at the event.
"Our roots are strong, our foundation is resilient, and our responsibility to the community remains unwavering. We are committed to building a healthcare institution of which future generations will be proud," he stated.
He added, "This rebranding is not merely a new identity; it is our promise to lead with excellence, innovation, and trust, serving our clients, caregivers, and the community with the same consultants and services at every step, both nationally and regionally."
The hospital stated that it is entering a new chapter with a renewed focus on healthcare excellence in Bangladesh.
