Chinese firm to invest $22m in bepza economic zone
China-based Adeline Beauty Technology (Bangladesh) Co Ltd is set to establish a fashion and beauty products manufacturing facility at the BEPZA Economic Zone, signing a land lease agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) on Tuesday, 4 March 2026, at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka.
The company will invest $22 million in the factory, which is expected to create jobs for approximately 4,170 Bangladeshi nationals, BEPZA stated.
Adeline Beauty Technology will produce fashion hair and beauty products, including wigs, eyelashes, and cosmetic nails, primarily for export to markets such as the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the UAE, Russia, and Mexico, along with other destinations. BEPZA stated that the project will support export diversification and help Bangladesh expand into the global beauty and personal care sector.
The agreement was signed by Md Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and Hang Sun, Managing Director of Adeline Beauty Technology (Bangladesh) Co Ltd. BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain witnessed the signing ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the Executive Chairman thanked the company for choosing the BEPZA Economic Zone and reaffirmed BEPZA's commitment to ensuring a secure, compliant, and business-friendly environment for investors. He also encouraged further Chinese investment in diversified and value-added sectors, BEPZA stated.
The ceremony was attended by Abdullah Al Mamun, Member (Engineering); A N M Foyzul Haque, Member (Finance); Samir Biswas, Executive Director (Administration); Md Khorshid Alam, Executive Director (Enterprise Services); and A S M Anwar Parvez, Executive Director (Public Relations), along with senior BEPZA officials and company representatives.
